Doctor visit
Today I had my 40 week 5 day visit. Dexter's is still comfy cozy in there. He is finally engaged in my pelvis instead of bouncing around which is good. I am 3 cm dilated and ~75% effaced. Doc said I could really go at any time. They wanted to make sure he is doing ok in there so they did a quick ultrasound to measure amniotic fluid levels (which was fine) and a non-stress test where they just monitored his heart rate for 20min (also fine). The picture above is me during my stress test.
My next post should be a welcome to the world Dexter post, so stay tuned!

YAY!!! HANG IN THERE!!! THINKING ABOUT YOU!
Can't wait to meet Dexter tomorrow!
I'm Amanda's friend and did IVF in October. Your blog gave me a lot of comfort in preparing for IVF. Thank you so much!
I'm now 29 weeks pregnant with twins and taking a cool birthing class. You may already know this, but first time mothers don't deliver at exactly 40 weeks but on average 41 weeks and 3 days, per the American College of Ob/Gyns.
As a fellow IVF pregnancy, I've been assuming my due date was pretty golden since the conception date was no big mystery . . . but I guess that's not always the case.
Hang in there! I'm rooting for you guys!
You look really good. Not much longer!
Way to Go. Happy Mother's Day!
Dex sounded great over the phone! Love, Dad
