Lego addict

I dont even have any real Lego's yet (a little superman set arrives tomorrow) but this whole week while I have been home with "snow days" I have transformed my mini transformers from robot form, to vehicle mode to the combined forms over and over and over again.  I am also getting better at transforming the hard transformers from cars into robots without Daddy help.  

I see alot of Lego building in my future!

King, Jr.

Today I learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at school.  He had a dream that all people would be friends.  I have a dream to be magic (harry potter) and a dream to be a superhero (batman).

Reading

Every night I get to read three books.  I like to pick 2 short books and then a section of Harry Potter #1.  So far we are around 100 pages down in Harry Potter with 200 more to go.  I should be finished by summer at this rate.

Pins Out!

A little blurry, but here are the three pins sticking out of my arm.  The doctor pulled them out with pliers, it hurt a little bit and I cried but I laid very still while he did it.

 

After the pins came out we went to McDonalds to have lunch.  I have a dressing over the pin sites now and I need to wear the sling for a few more days as my arm improves and becomes less stiff.   I am still restricted for another month from running, jumping and climbing.  I am allowed to swim in a few more days.  

This month in school we are learning about the states and learning a song about the states.  Daddy likes to collect coins so he bought me a big map so we can collect each state coin.  Going through my piggy bank we already have 42/56 of the states and territories.  I will be on the look out for the missing ones. 

Hi there

Not much going on here this week.  I went back to school and showed everyone my cast and sling.  This is my last weekend with it.  Monday the pins and cast comes off!    Until then there will just be lots of Rescue Bot play around the house.  Have a great weekend!

Mount Vernon & Transformers

This week was full of cousin play.  Cole & Luke visited me from Ohio for 4 days and then I spent the weekend with Nikki & Ben. 

When Cole and Luke were here we visited Mount Vernon.  This was a really cool place to visit and I would gladly go again, perhaps in the spring or summer so we can see the gardens.   We enjoyed seeing George Washington's house, his tomb, and the great museums full of movies about his life.   I now like to randomly say during my play battles that "we fight for freedom!"

This week also involved a lot of Transformer play and movie watching. None of my cousins know about Transformers but I tried my best to educate them on how amazing they are. 

When I went to Ben & Nikki's house we exchanged some late Christmas presents and I got more transformers!  I got the big Optimus Prime trailer that holds 4 rescue bots and can transform Optimus into a plane.

Here are some X-rays from my checkup with the surgeon.  The X-rays were taken through the cast so that makes the arm look larger then it actually is.  In 2 more weeks I will have the pins removed in the office.  I have watched a few youtube videos of pin removal and I am not sure if that helps or hurts to watch because they are literally pulled out with pliers and it seems a bit crazy.
