Pool

I have my sea turtle bathing suit and now I have a great tube to help me float in the big pool on base.  I can't wait to go swimming today.

Here is a picture of me later at the little pool.  I really loved my tube but refused to try the big pool with it.

Ladybug

 

I made a ladybug hat at school today.  It is awesome.

Recovery

Ophelia is getting better every day and I am helping her, she is my dog after all.  (Bosley is Daddy's dog and Mommy has no dog)  I have been very gentle around her and have given her extra soft hugs and kisses.  In return she lets me wear her cone!

Ophelia Surgery

Today Ophelia had surgery for the mass on her back leg.  She has had this for about 6 months now and it has been drained a few times but finally got to the point where it needed to be surgically removed when it swelled so much it busted the skin open and started to drain. 

She went through the surgery just fine but her leg is obviously tender.  Hopefully she will be back to normal soon.  I think our biggest challenge will be to prevent Bosley from licking the wound.  We might have to put the dog cone on him instead of her!

They sent the mass off to the lab, we will know the results next week to see if it was a cyst or tumor or what.

What could be more fun...

What could be more fun than my evening bike ride?  A bike ride through the sprinklers!  I biked through the sprinklers about 5 times before I did my loop around Hardin Field.  I bike for about an hour every night, watch out Lance Armstrong!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!  Today mommy drew a picture of me and daddy riding our bikes (I wrote my name), then I baked banana bread and pancakes for daddy.  Then we went to a car show and looked a cool cars, then I feel sleep on the way home in the car.  I hope you all had fun father's days too!

Bike

I love to ride my bike every day.  I was riding with Grandfather and now I get to ride with Daddy.  I biked a mile loop this morning and then this afternoon biked to the swimming pool and back.  I now need to figure out how to get my bike into my suitcase so I have it for my Ohio trip...

Grandfather and Nana

I love my Nana and Grandfather so much!  They came and spent the week with me while mommy and daddy were on a big boat.  We had so much fun going to the zoo, playgrounds and riding my bike.  I wish I could see them everyday and already miss them so much.

Alaska Vacation

This past week marked a couple firsts for us.  It was Dan's first cruise and his first time outside of the USA.  It was Ali's first time leaving Dexter for more than a work shift.  Lucky for us Nana and Grandfather came over from Florida to watch Dexter this week while we cruised to Alaska from Seattle and even took a couple steps into Canada.

We saw mountains, snow, glaciers, whales, bald eagles, seals, mountain goats and other animals.  We traveled in big boats, little boats, kayaks, trains, buses, snowshoes and hiking boots.  It was a great week - here are a handful of pictures and a short video.
