November update

November was a great month.  I turned into a yellow belt in Karate and we traveled to California for Mommy and Daddy's birthdays!  While in California we visited the Zoo, Legoland and our good friends the McCalls.  We went sailing with them and enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner!

October Update

Time for an update.  School is going great!  I love my new school and my teacher Mrs. Salley.  I was the "star student" for the first month of the year and been doing great on all my subjects.

When not at school I am doing Karate. I am currently a 1st degree gold belt and I am working 3 times a week at progressing to my next belt.    I am also hanging out with my grandparents alot this month! 

Finally the other thing I have done this month is explore sailboats at the Annapolis boat show.  

Karate update

A few months ago I started taking Karate class.  I really enjoy going and learning Karate!  This past weekend I passed my Gold Belt test and am very proud of how much I learned and grown since I started!

Washington DC adventures

I just spent a week with my cousins exploring Richmond & Washington DC.  It was a great week and here are some highlights of our adventures.

Summer travels

Sorry I haven't been around the past month.  I have been very busy traveling!  I spent a week with Gram in Maryland.  Then I spent a week at home with Nana.  I went to summer camp at my new elementary school, Victory Elem.   Now I am in Ohio with my cousins!   I am too busy to post on my blog!!

karate & baseball

 I am really enjoying Martial Arts classes.  This week I earned my first stripe on my white belt.

 I am improving my flexibility with Karate as well!

Baseball is now over.  I hadn't played since I was 4 and by the end of the season I was usually getting a hit (7 pitches to try and hit) and still have a ways to go on throwing and catching.  But I enjoyed it a little bit - I might be willing to try again next year.

Tiger Scout to Wolf Scout

Yesterday Dexter transitioned from a Tiger Scout (1st grader) to a Wolf Scout (2nd grader).  Cub scout has been good at times and boring at times depending on the activity so we are still deciding if we will continue next year or not.  When it was outdoors and scout stuff it was great. 

Month of May - aka Star Wars invasion

While still obsessed with Super Heroes, I have clearly shifted to an obsession with Star Wars.  I have watched all 7 movies several times, built Star Wars LEGOs, read multiple Star Wars books, played LEGO Star Wars on the Wii and recreated every scene in the movies while playing.  Thank you to everyone who gave me Star Wars gifts for my birthday!
