Reading Cubby

There is a little space between the couch and the bookshelf where I love to sit. I like to pile up all the blankets into my cubby and then just sit back and read.

Beans!

I really love beans.   I could eat beans every day and not share a single one with my doggies (like I do most every other food)  Plus I still only have four teeth so they are easy to eat as well :)

Go Gators!

The Gators play the Seminoles today in football.  It is not on TV here in New Mexico however and this makes my mommy very sad.  I am going to have to be extra happy and nice to her this afternoon to distract her from not seeing the Gators play.

Snow!

I saw snow today.  I don't remember seeing snow when I was a baby, but I guess I did.   Snow is fun, until you slip on some ice or your hand gets too cold from touching it.

Bath Time

I love bath time.  If you say time to take a bath I will run to the bathroom and try to crawl inside or try to take my clothes off as fast as I can.   I also like to only  use about 5% of the available tub space for me and my toys.

Let the shots begin

My Fertility Calendar

Picture of my meds for this cycle

Today I had my first of many shots to start this current frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle.  I also had my ultrasound to make sure everything looked good inside (which it did).  This cycle isn't nearly as exciting as the first go round. Far less bloodwork and ultrasounds needed for a FET cycle but way more shots!  I have 3 different medicines that are injections this time and only one is a nice easy SQ shot in my fat.  The other 2 are in the muscle and Dan (and then Heather) is going to have to give me some of those shots.  The IVF cycle had so many ultrasounds because we had to constantly monitor the follicle growth of my eggs.  But since we already have a 5 day old embryo frozen in time we just have to give me tons of medicines to get my uterine lining nice and thick and welcoming to the embryo.   So I don't think there will be many updates on this area of our life until the actual transfer day (12/17) in Dayton.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

For Daddy's birthday today I want to play with my new puzzle board, color with my new crayons and perhaps play in his new computer box.   Birthdays are fun!  I didn't buy Daddy anything for his birthday because child labor laws are strict and I cant work yet - however, I will now give hugs and kisses on request and he seems to like that a lot.   Happy Birthday Daddy!

Thanksgiving?

We had a party at school today.  It was so much fun!  We ate turkey, stuffing, sweet potato, green beans, rolls, fruit, salad, mashed potato and apple pie.  We also got to have a fancy table cloth on our table when we ate, but best of all mommies and daddies came and had lunch with us!

Gator Wrestling

My parent's friend Toni gave me this alligator when I visited her over a year ago.  It sat in my bedroom for a very long time before I discovered it.  Now I love it! It is a big as I am! When I get out of bed in the morning I do my gator chomp so mommy knows to get my gator down for me.

Too cold to bike

It is way to cold to ride in my bike trailer right now.  However, that doesn't stop me from playing in it every time I see it in the garage!

Doctor Visit

Today I had my 18 month old checkup.  It was a lot of fun.  I got to wait in a room with crayons and a little table and draw until the doctor was ready to see me.

My official stats are:  Weight 25 lbs 3oz (20-25%), Height 32.6 inches (50-75%), Head circumference 49.7cm (90-95%)

My doctor was very pleased with my exam, said I was very healthy and happy.   The only area of concern was that I wasn't talking more.  I only say about 5 words and she wanted me to say more than 7 words and soon start putting 2 words together.  So I have to work on that for the next few months so when I see her at 2 years old I have a very big vocabulary.

I was supposed to get some shots today also but when I went to the shot clinic they said I wasn't due until the 19th, so I get a few more days before I get shots!

Here is a little video mommy made of me this morning on her phone.  I am getting better at my body parts so I wanted to show off for you.

I am one and a half years old!

Here is a breakdown of my many accomplishments over the last 3 months:

Weight: About 26 pounds. I still wear size 18month pants, 2T shirts and size 4 shoes.  I have my next doctor visit on Monday so I will give you official height and weights then.

Skills:
Physically: Gross motor:  I can run!  This usually leads to me falling down after tripping on my own feet, but I just get up and try again.   I can get on and off my horse and then rock back and forth.  I love to climb on playgrounds and can go down slides by myself.
Fine Motor: I love to play with pens and markers to try and draw.

Verbally:  Mama, Dadda, Ball, More are the only words mommy can understand, although I will clearly point to things and say a sentence they just look at me confused.  My favorite new signs are bath and airplane.

Likes:  I like to help put away things or clean my table after a meal (usually a very messy table after I have eaten).  I love being outside and walking the dogs.  I like to ask for more food every chance I get.  I like to dance.  I like putting things where they belong and yet I like to destroy things also.   I love baths.  I love watching “super why” with breakfast.  I like to say night-night to my dogs and daddy every night.

Dislikes:  I dislike being carried when mommy and daddy don’t think I am walking good enough.   I don’t like going to baby school in the morning unless they have already started breakfast then its fine for you to leave me there.

What is to come:  The big excitement for the next three months is Christmas with my cousins!  I get to fly on an airplane and play with Cole and Luke for 2 weeks in Ohio.  We have all sorts of fun things planned while I am there like the zoo and science centers.  Also mommy is going to try and make me a brother or sister while I am there, not sure what that means but I guess it is ok.

Here is a slideshow of my last six months put to a song mommy blatantly stole from Finn and Mirabelle's momma's video a few days ago.

Good Morning

My new favorite breakfast is eating half a blueberry bagel and drinking a nice cup of cold milk.    So Yummy!  Mommy is not sure how I have room for all that bagel, but I am a growing boy!
