My new coat

It is getting a bit chilly out there so today I got to put on my first coat! This coat is one of the many pieces of clothes I have borrowed from my cousins Grace and Jason Jr. I am sure I will get good use out of it over the next several weeks while its in the 60s here in Ohio.

Sorry its a bit grainy the lighting in my house is bad and it was taken on the phone which has no flash.

Also since it is the end of the month my entire August picture folder is uploaded onto our family website for your enjoyment.

Standing

I really enjoying standing up. I obviously can't do it without mommy or daddy helping hold my arms or chest but my legs are getting super strong. I can stand for almost an entire 30min Skype conversation now! I also found out my legs are great for kicking, I like to kick daddy or Bosley when we are all on the couch together!

More House Pictures

Here are some pictures our friend Fitz took of our future ABQ house. Check out the cool Sandia Mountains in the background.

Little note about the mountains, not sure how long it will take me to gather the courage to ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway. It's the world’s longest aerial tramway, transporting you 2.7 miles up to the 10,378 foot Sandia Peak. My heart is racing just looking at the picture.

Sandia Peak Tramway was voted Best Place to take an out-of-town guest by the Alibi weekly newspaper and Best Bird's Eye View in Reader's Digest Best 100 Views - so if you visit expect to be taken here...

Happy Birthday Tigerlily!

Birthday Girl!

Today is Tigerlily's 15th birthday! Mommy said she got her from the pound a week before Mommy started college and Tigerlily is still going strong. Now its hard for Mommy to get a picture of Tigerlily and me together, so this picture will have to do.

Walking, and treats

Everyday, usually twice a day, I get to go for a walk with my mommy, daddy and doggies. In the first walk mommy usually pushes me and the second walk daddy carries me. I have gotten so big and good at walks that I get to sit up and face forward finally. Before this week I was getting pushed around backwards in my carseat set into my stroller. The world looks very different coming at you instead of moving away from you!

After each walk the doggies get a treat (Bosley will let you know if you forget somehow). In the afternoon since its hot outside they get icecube treats. I decieded I wanted ice cube treats also! Mine is in the form of a frozen fish! It feels so good and makes me drool all over!

who is down with the ABQ

We officially have a house now in Albuquerque, starting October first (however move in date should be a few weeks later). The house is a 1700 sq ft single family home with 2 car garage built in 2004.

This move is officially feeling real now that we have the house. All we need now is for Dan to finish up with school and to coordinate the movers! Our friends who are stationed at Kirtland already will live one street over from us which should be very cool! They are also going to snap a few more picture for us this week of the backyard, etc.

The only thing that is somewhat lame about the place is our street name: Choke Cherry Court SE. Choke cherry...really? Apparently its the state fruit of North Dakota. Between choke cherry and spelling out Albuquerque I am not loving my address.

Can't keep still

I have this rolling around thing down pat now. Better baby proof the house!

Who needs a pacifier, I will just take this out and replace it with my hand!

Woah, look at the crazy fish hanging above my head.

The Quarter Roll

I have rolled over from my belly to my back twice in my short life. However, I am much better just rolling onto my side. I think I have the leg lift, hip thrust technique down pat now. Mommy caught me practicing the other day and of course wanted to share yet another video with all my loyal blog followers.

Gator Football in 25 days!

My mommy keeps talking about the Gators and football. She reads gator books to me, dresses me in orange and blue and even let me play with this gator Nana got for me. Now to learn the chomp, fight song and something about football.

Cooking

Yesterday I helped Daddy make dinner and helped Mommy bake cookies! I am so handy in the kitchen. Mainly I sit in my big blue chair and supervise.

3 month update!

My unofficial weight via bathroom scale = 14.4lbs!

Skills I have mastered:

Smiling, laughing & squealing in delight at people is still my best skill. I can flash a killer smile at anyone who asks for a smile. I often get my whole body into my smile or laugh just to show them how much I love the attention.
I can make lots of baby noises now, things that sound like ooh, aag, yea, ahh are my favorite noises.

Stuff I am working on:
I am getting much better at using my arms. I have a bouncy chair at baby school that has items dangling down which I can grab and play with easily. I also like to use my right hand to hold my left hand and help guide it to my mouth for easier thumbsucking.
Rolling over - I have done it twice now from my belly to my back, but I cant figure out how I did it! I think I wanted to get off my belly so much I just kicked myself over.
Sleeping through the night - most nights I have my last meal between 9-10pm and sleep until 4:30-5:30

Likes:
Going for walks is still my favorite. If I am in my stroller I fall asleep and if Daddy carries me in the bjorn I love to look around and check everything out around me.
I like to be read to, the epic tales of "Elmo so big" and "Fluffy Chick and friends" are great.
I like to stand up (with people holding me of course)
I like to talk with Gram on Skype every Sunday night.
I like to make spit bubbles, in fact drooling is becoming quite popular.

Dislikes:
Tummy time is still not my favorite but I tolerate it now for a few minutes at a time.
There isn't too much more I dislike, I think I am a pretty relaxed little man. In fact here is a picture of me in the massage chair relaxing!
