Push Me!

Swinging is my favorite activity.  I have already swung for hours in the playground behind Aunt Heather's house but I have also swung at various parks around town.  I really should learn how to push myself, but I am trying to help my Aunt Heather and Mommy get more exercise :)

face paint

My new Ohio neighbor painted my face yesterday. It was interesting to have my face painted, I didn't really enjoy getting it done and having to stand so still but I loved the final effect!

Home inspection

Today was the home inspection for our new Virginia house!  The inspection went great.  My inspector said they built a really nice home and only had a couple points to bring up when I did the walkthrough with the builder.  Issue 1 - the outside patio stairs are not completed yet, they are about halfway done but will be done before closing next Friday.   Issue 2 - The AC unit has two zones, upper level and lower two levels, but the zones were not talking to each other.  If the heat or cool was on with one thermostat it was blowing on both levels.  The builder was already aware of this and said a part was ordered for the HVAC dampener and will be done prior to closing.  Issue 3 - Pluming - the water was not connected to the fridge for water/ice and one of the toilets was missing the tube that connects water from the pipes to the actual toilet.  Issue 4 - one of the central vac outlets was not working.   That was it, there were a couple really minor areas were painters will come around and touch up.   Next Friday at 9am I have another quick walkthrough to make sure all issues were fixed and then we close at 11am.

Here are some interior photos:

Unfinished garage - this will be my project to paint and seal the floor prior to Dan's arrival

My epic adventure!

Yesterday I arrived in Columbus Ohio with my mommy, Aunt Heather and cousin Luke.  We traveled for 3 days (23 hours in the car) all the way from Albuquerque, NM to Columbus, OH.

Here was our trip:
Sunday - left ABQ and stopped in Amarillo, TX at a science center and then slept in Oklahoma City that night

Monday we left OKC (thankfully a few hours before a horrible tornado hit the city!!) and stopped in Springfield, MO to have lunch at a state park and do a little nature hike.  That night we slept in St. Louis, MO.  We had a great view of the famous arch from our hotel window.

Tuesday we traveled to Indianapolis, IN and stopped at an amazing museum for lunch.  We only spent 2 hours there and explored only 2 of the  floors but we could have spent tons more time there.

Finally Tuesday night we arrived at Aunt Heather's house in Columbus, Ohio.  I will spend the next 37 days with them before moving to Virginia.

My cousin Luke and I did really great on the trip.  We ate snacks, watched movies, played "I Spy", took naps and played together.  We even got to swim each night in the hotels.  We both got a little cranky at lunch time each day but that was quickly fixed with McDonald's food and toys.  Every two hours we stopped and shook out our legs and wiggled our butts and did jumps.  Then every four hours we were at a big stop like a park or museum or the hotel, before you knew it we were in Ohio!

So long Albuquerque

In my final day here in Albuquerque I did what every good New Mexican would do I had green chilli pizza and rode the "world's longest tramway" up the Sandias and did a little hike.  The weather was perfect for a short hike and it gave us a good view of the city below.  It really was a great 3.5 years here in Albuquerque. Dexter is about to leave the only home he has really ever known and move into our McMansion in Virginia.  I know great things await us for our 4th Air Force tour.  I look forward to having some moisture back in my skin!  I know we will all miss our great friends we made here and maybe one day we will see them again.

Packing

I love packing boxes!  Mommy and I have packed almost everything in the house.  All that is left for daddy after we leave will be some furniture, TV, computer and kitchen stuff.

Only a few more days until I move!  I can't wait to unpack everything :)

Birthday party

My birthday was a fun day.  I had cake with my friend Audrey and played with my new toys.  I got to talk to my grandparents and cousins on Skype as well!  I wanted to go to the zoo but they were having a 5k race for the zoo that day so we avoided it and will be going to the zoo next Sunday for Mother's day instead.

Also I updated my stats on my previous post.  I weighed 36.6 pounds, was 41 inches tall and in perfectly normal health according to Dr. Kim.  I also got 4 shots at my checkup - Mumps/Measles/Rubella, Varicella, Polio and Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis.  She also filled out my preschool form so I am ready to start school in Virginia July 1st.  I can't wait to meet my new teachers and kids.

4th Birthday!

Vital Stats:
Weight: 36.6 pounds  Height: 41 inches
Clothes I wear size 3-4T shirts and pants, size 9 shoes

Skills:
Physically: Running, jumping, climbing is fun.  I have my first sport this summer playing in a T-ball league with my cousin Luke in Ohio.  I also have a 1 mile race in July in Virginia - I am hoping to dominate the 4 year old group.

Verbally: My speech is much improved in the past six months.  Strangers can understand most of what I am saying now.  The letter "S" is still very hard for me to say correctly - but I am working on it and if you slow down and pronounce a word for me I can usually repeat it correctly.

Likes: Mommy asked me a series of questions about my favorite things so here you go -
Favorite friend at school - Cadence
Favorite friend at home - Audrey
Favorite teacher - Miss Isabel
Favorite food - spagehetti and meatballs
Favorite TV show - Caillou
Favorite Movie - Kung Fu Panda
Favorite toy - Captain America
Favorite place to go - school
Favorite dog - Bosley
Favorite animal - Penguins
Favorite color - Pink
Favorite dessert - Gummies
Favorite superhero - Batman
Favorite inside game - Putt putt saves the zoo (on PC or iPad)
Favorite outside activity - swings at playground
Dislikes:I dislike lots of things for a minute.  I will dislike the idea of stopping play to take a shower, but then I love it once I am in there.  Like most kids I throw a mini-fit if I don't get what I want, but I quickly get over it.

What is to come: We have the big move in just two more weeks.  I am excited to spend 6 weeks with my cousins Cole and Luke in Ohio until we drive to Virginia and Daddy meets up with us.  Once I get to Virginia I will start at a Montessori preschool near my new house.
