Ohio visit

 We have spent the week in Ohio playing Lego, going to museums, playing Lego, playing outside for 5 minutes before figuring out it is too cold, playing Lego, playing Minecraft and watching cousins play X Box Lego games.   It has been a fun week!  Tomorrow we go back to Virginia, I finally get my sling off next week which is good because it is officially no fun to wear any more.

Getting creative with Lego

I just love building Lego sets! I have four Lego sets now, three from the Lego movie and one with Lex Luther.  Usually I build them according to the specific directions, but I can also think outside the box.  I took apart Lex's power suit and made a couple different things out of the parts like the one below.

This weekend we had a great family get-away to Virginia Beach.  We arrived Friday and to to relax and look at the ocean. Saturday Dexter had his Leprechaun dash - a 26.2 yard dash for kids aged 1-5.  That night we met some friends for dinner and spent time in the hotel hot tub.  Dexter made a new friend in Amelia, the granddaughter of some of my co-workers. Sunday I had my half marathon race (13.1 miles) and I had a great time of 2 hours 8 minutes 50 seconds - almost 11 minutes faster than my old personal best.  I ran the entire time thanks to racing along side two of my friends from my 200 mile Ragnar relay race - Edgar and Ginger.    It was a great weekend, we even snuck in some time to look at fishing boats and dream of our future retirement on the ocean :)

This past week

Sorry it has been a while since my last post. Since I broke my clavicle not much else has happened.  We did have a nice weekend visit with cousins Ben and Nikki.  I have learned a lot about Ireland, St. Patrick. leprechauns and potatoes at school this week.   Today we are heading to Virginia Beach for a race - I am running Saturday in a kids race and mommy is running Sunday morning for 13 miles.

Broken

 

Can you believe I have another broken bone?!?

Mommy was running on her treadmill and I wanted to run as well so I jumped on the back and very quickly got slammed down onto the bottom on the treadmill/concrete floor.  So it is back into my old sling for at least a month.  I fear I have gotten my daddy's weak bones, I am going to drink a lot more milk!

Florida!

I escaped the winter in Virginia for a week, with a great trip to Florida!

I visited my great-nana

I walked around the neighborhood

I played with new Transformers

I saw my grandparent's new home in St. Augustine

I picked shells on the beach.

I went to a car show

I helped mom and dad buy their next rental property

And had a super fun time with my grandparents!

It was a great time, I even got to see my Aunt Heather for dinner one night in Orlando.  I can't wait to go back to Florida in June and again in August!
