Quick Photos

I am attempting to learn a video editing program called After Effects. This 10 second video would be something like a intro or title sequence for a longer photo slide show I am working on. The longer version will have music and more pictures, etc but for now I am just tyring to learn a couple of the hundreds of video & text options this program has. Hope you enjoy it, feel free to leave feedback on what I should do different. I was going to slow it down so you can see the first couple pictures longer, but it supposed to be a quick intro so I left it as is.

Anyways, enjoy and let the whole thing process before watching so it doesn't start and stop on you :)

Fireworks

Last night Daddy's work had a party. I heard lots of airplanes fly over my head from WWII planes to stealth bombers. I also got to see my first fireworks right from my house. Both things are very loud but I wasn't scared!

Nana is here again

Nana is here to visit me again along with my cousins. Its been very nice to have her around to snuggle with again. She also brought me a cool hat and gator outfits to wear, once I get a bit bigger.



But it wouldn't be a trip to Heather's house without a picture of all three of us on the blanket. First thing my cousin Cole says when I walk in the house is "blanket, lay down, picture"

Dog Emergency

Tonight we came home from dinner to find that the dogs got into a Sam's club sized bag of trail mix. This is full of chocolate & raisins which are both very toxic to dogs. Unfortunately they are both now staying at the vet for a few days while they get IV Fluids and have their lab work monitored. Hopefully everything will be ok - say a little prayer for our dogs today if you could!

I am trying to grow up as soon as I can so I can play with Cole. Seems I am still too small for him.

More Tummy Time

Just another video for the grandparents viewing pleasure. I can't crawl or turn over yet, but I can scoot around pretty good when I push off someone's hands.

Bumbo

So mom caved in and bought me a bumbo chair from some nice lady on craigslist. It's made for babies 3 months old who can hold their head up. But hey 6 weeks old is close enough right...

2 minutes later....


Ok, maybe I need to keep working on this head thing.

Packing up

Today mommy went through all my clothes and set aside all the newborn outfits and 0-3month outfits that don't fit any longer. I am obviously such a big boy now.

Daddy thought it would be funny to pack me in the box also...

Uhh..

What the heck is this thing mommy keeps putting me in? I am not to sure about this. Sometimes I enjoy swinging back and forth but other times I just scream!

Look who is still sleeping

I love my afternoon naps just like my daddy does. I just finished walking the dogs, so I earned a good nap on mommy.

Sleepy

Too sleepy to make a long post today, just going to curl up in my boppy and let you know when I am hungry again.

My mommy has super powers of disappearing.

Not sure if I am yawning or smiling or laughing - but I know I like it!

Swaddle

This method of swaddling has worked really well for us, so we thought we would share it with all our other friends and family who have new babies. The video is on youtube as well, but they blocked the audio portion for copyright issues...

Got Milk?

My frozen breast milk stash after 4 weeks. Each one is anywhere from 3-6 oz of milk.

They can be used for Dexter when I go back to work and he is at daycare or if I need Dan to feed him while I am out doing things.

Good thing I love to be held by them and fall asleep on them. I will let them play their game for now.

1 month Doctor Visit

Dexter had his 1 month doctor visit today. His weight has jumped almost 2 pounds in 2 weeks so any worry about his early weight loss is gone. Previously the doctor wanted us to make sure and wake him in the night so he can feed at least every 4 hours, but now we have the go ahead to let him sleep as long as he wants in the night. Currently our night feeding schedule was 11pm, 3am, 7am so we shall see how that alters tonight.

His stats today were: Weight- 10 lbs, 11oz. Length - 22 inches

4 weeks old!

I am 4 weeks old today! These 4 weeks have flown by (probably because I was asleep for 75% of it).

Skills I have mastered:
I can lift my head up while laying on my belly and change it from side to side depending on how I want to lay at that moment.
I can follow objects all around my vision area.

Stuff I am working on:
Smiling! Its about half and half now between smiling because I am farting and smiling because I enjoy what I am doing with mommy or daddy.
I am working on getting my thumb or whole fist into my mouth so I can suck on it. Getting my arms to do what I want in general would be nice.

Likes: Going for walks and rides in the car are still my favorite. I like to be held and now on my walks I like to face outwards so I can look at things. I love to eat - I started at 10ml/feeding when I was born to now eating 100-120ml every 2-4 hours easy.

Dislikes: Gas! My tummy hurts sometimes, but luckily I am only fussy for a short time when this happens. Apparently I don't like it when mommy eats onions - it makes her milk taste weird!




Cant wait to see what the next 4 weeks brings!
