Speech Therapy
Today I met a new Speech Pathologist named Cindy. My normal speech pathologist, Jackie, will work with me until August when the next school year starts and then I need to transition to the school level speech people which is why Cindy wanted to meet me and hear me talk. I got to wear a cool vest which had a microphone in it and then just play for an hour with toys, books and puzzles. Cindy, like all before her, say I am very smart but just not talking. Some sounds I can say like the D in daddy but I cant say dog or Dexter - it confuses them, which is good because I need to keep these adults on their toes. I have recently mastered the P sound - I have added park, pole and pool to my list of words I can say.
Today is my final day in the 2-3 year old room. Tomorrow I start the 3-4 year old room at preschool and maybe being around older kids who talk more will be good for my language skills.

Home sick
Yesterday and today I stayed home with mommy because I had a fever. This mostly consisted of me playing superwhy games on pbskids.org and reading every book in my library. This morning I have a speech therapy visit so hopefully I feel well enough for that.

Cook!
Yesterday I helped mommy bake Banana bread. Today I got out all the things needed to do it again all by myself (what a great memory I have)! Sadly we didn't have any more bananas so I couldn't do it - instead I learned how to bake brownies! I love to cook, which is good because someone in the house should.

Library Books
Today I went to one of my favorite places - the base library! They have a nice kids room full of books and maps and stuffed animals. I brought them several of my baby books to donate and then I brought home three new books to read. I think it was a nice trade.

Letters
I am getting better at my letters and drawing. I drew the sun and wrote the word "home" on the left side. Mommy drew everything else. I love my dry erase board.

mohawk
Today is "crazy hair day" at school. I don't have much to work with in that area, but I did manage a little mohawk.

Easter Egg Hunting
Today was the Easter Egg "Hunt" on base (huge open field with eggs and candy just sitting there waiting to be picked up). This is my third time going and this year I dominated the 0-2 year old section of the field. I picked up tons of eggs and candy and even met the Easter Bunny after. It was very exciting to meet the Easter Bunny and not scary at all like previous years.

Numbers
Numbers are fun. I am pretty good at counting the number of items in the room or in a picture, but the concept of which number is bigger than another is still hard for me. Perhaps this new game from the Montessori company will help. Today at the playground mommy said I had only five more minutes left to play, but then I shrewdly negotiated for two minutes more instead of five - perhaps I really do need to learn these numbers...

Safety First
Safety First is my Daddy's motto. Well today I got a new bike helmet and it came with fun elbow and knee pads. I ran around the house in all my safety gear. This weekend perhaps I will get around to learning how to ride a bike. I got a free bike from a neighbor but Daddy has to install my training wheels first.

I love you
I can't say I love you yet, but I learned how to sign it and now I tell mommy and daddy all the time that I love them. It makes them so happy!
Also did you know if you move your hand down its like your Spiderman shooting a web!
